  Herbalism

We thank Valefor, Camio, and Foras for their time with helping on this page.

Herbs have been used in rituals, meditations, and for healing since ancient times.
Herbs come in many different forms such as flowers, roots, stems, seeds, leaves, woods and barks each holding their own characteristic energies. In this section we hope to introduce practitioners to some basic herbs and rudimentary functions. There are many herbs that are beneficial for us to use on the Aquarian Path. These plants are  catalysts for healing inside and outside, intensifying energy, consecrating ritual tools, and can be used as offerings during rituals and meditations.

WARNING: NEVER consume ANY foreign plant or fungus unless you are sure it is not poisonous and that you are not allergic.

Preparation Methods

Teas - Concoctions are teas and the simplest form to ingest an herb. Simply boil water pour over the herb of choice, let it steep 3-5 minutes, stir, strain and drink. Decoctions are longer steeped teas used for barks, woods, stems and berries. Raw honey can be added .

Essential Oils - Essential oils are extracted from plants to give you the concentrated properties of that plant. Essential oils are great for inhalation and anointing  the chakras or candles and ritual tools or adding to baths.

Incense - Come in many forms, loose herbs, sticks , cones and resins. Loose herbs, barks, mosses and resins need to be burned on a charcoal.

Poultices - A cloth compress infused into an herbal concoction/decoction applied to a specific part of the body or chakra area.

Extracts - An extract is a substance made by extracting a part of a raw material, often by using a solvent such grain alcohol, oil or water.

Baths - Place herbs into a sachet and place in the bath, let it steep and then enter the bath to soak. You can also place essential oils directly into the bath water.

Inhalation - Best way to inhale herbs are through essential oils or buy grinding fresh herbs and lightly sniffing them.

Sachets - Herbs, woods, bark and resins are placed in a sachet to draw in a specific energy or provide a specific energy shield or healing. They can also be placed under your pillow while you sleep.

Herbs for Chakra Meditation:

These chakra correlated herbs came as a suggestion from Valefor, as a guide to members when doing any of the chakra meditations. The herbs listed are meant to be incorporated with that specific chakra to help focus and amplify their energy work. These herbs will help clear blockages, aid concentration, as well as intensify your meditations. In addition, some of the information also came from Camio and Foras. Camio suggests barks and woods from specific trees such as elm, oak, cedar, weeping willow, chestnut, pine, and mosses. Foras suggests utilizing the roots of plants. They hold a specific energy that he is partial to, especially to intensify the potency of a ritual. Again, we would like to thank Valefor, Camio, and Foras for their time with helping finally bring this page to life.

DISCLAIMER: It is important that you try different herbs to find what works best for you. Remember, these herbs are tools to assist your work, they will NOT do the work FOR you. Use your instincts and what you've learned from practicing your energy meditations from the meditation section. Experiment with them, use them singularly or mix some to find your own signature blends.
